I stand in deep contemplation before your art work and a world of wonderment opens and spins in my head. You have chosen a beautiful verse from the Bible, but aren’t they all beautiful, because the word is Jesus and Jesus is the word…..He is altogether lovely….The hairs on your head are all numbered. He creates and is concerned from the nucleus to the nebulae, from the micro to the macro, from the 3 billion letters of the DNA to the baby firmly held and formed in its beauty. Who could think it was all a mindless accident from nothing. ? How can we open a word document if the programmer has not skilfully ordered the codes and engineered with precision the software.? His signature is in every cell. Galileo has said’ mathematics is the alphabet with which God has written the universe.’ and the Mandel Brot set is often called the thumbprint of God. We are created in His image and you are expressing yourself as a true imager of God. You are reflecting back to the world the Creator God in this masterpiece. You have indeed enriched my world in bringing to mind some profound thoughts. You have captured so artistically and brilliantly something of our infinite, boundless and majestic God. I see the garden and the Gardener.. I do stand in amazement of your ingenuity, your talent of the baby being so lovingly woven in the double helix. All so incredibly beautiful….. Thank you, so very very much.

We have a Chicago sports themed basement, and these covers from the 2016 Cubs were the perfect addition. I relive the excitement of the season every time I look at them!

Artist's Description
Kamisaka Sekka 1866–1942 was an important artistic figure in early twentieth-century Japan. Born in Kyoto to a Samurai family, his talents for art and design were recognized early. He eventually allied himself with the traditional Rinpa school of art. He is considered the last great proponent of this artistic tradition. Sekka also worked in lacquer and in a variety of other media.
As traditional Japanese styles became unfashionable (such as Rimpa style), Japan implemented policies to promote the country’s unique artistic style by upgrading the status of traditional artists who infused their craft with a dose of modernism. In 1901, Sekka was sent by the Japanese government to Glasgow where he was heavily influenced by Art Nouveau. He sought to learn more about the Western attraction to Japonism, and which elements or facets of Japanese art would be more attractive to the West.
Returning to Japan, he taught at the newly opened Kyoto Municipal School of Arts and Crafts,...
